Born in Sydney Australia, married, raised three children and have lived in the Sutherland Shire for many years.
Being the youngest child of a large family I was always around people growing up and curious to know more about the way people lived their lives particularly people from other countries.
After studying Welfare at TAFE and Adult Education at University of Technology in Sydney I worked in the Community Sector with people from all walks of life and diverse cultural backgrounds firstly in the outer suburbs of Sydney and for 13 years in the City of Sydney.
A busy working career centred around Aged Care Community Services has given me a unique experience and invaluable insight into peoples lives. It also gave me the desire to travel to see different parts of the world first hand and to expand my knowledge and appreciation of other cultures.
Whilst Community work is very rewarding I was also searching for something that would ease the stress in my busy life. I was fortunate to work with a friend who had learnt Vedic Meditation and I saw first hand the difference meditation was making to them. I have been meditating for many years now and am happy to say that I have experienced profound and wonderful changes in my life.
Many aspects and experiences in my personal life and work career have led me to become a Meditation Teacher and Mentor. Studying the Vedic Tradition and Meditation practice under the guidance of my teacher Tim Brown here in Sydney, with part of the teacher training taking place in Rishikesh India. And in (2009) spending 3 months intensive teacher training in Flagstaff Arizona with Thom Knoles Maharishi Vyasananda, world-renowned Master of the Vedic Tradition.
I am passionate about teaching meditation to make a difference in peoples lives just as it has done for me. The practise changed my life in so many ways and is the reason that I cannot keep it to myself. I love being a teacher and love passing on the knowledge and wisdom, it is a great privledge and honour to watch people's lives change and grow to become happier, healthy and at peace within themselves. I gained a deep inner peace and quietness that I had never known before. I learned to meditate many years ago now and I still love it and have never regretted it.
Beyond Thinking - Vedic Meditation is based the Southern parts of Sydney in Sutherland Shire.
