THE TECHNIQUE

The technique was designed for people who lead very busy lives - it is an easy effortless way to release stress.   Sitting comfortably with eyes closed for twenty minutes twice a day - It's a simple, natural process.

You don’t need to stop thinking thoughts.  People say “I can’t meditate because I can’t stop thinking.”  The good news is that with this meditation if you can think a thought you can learn to meditate.   The technique is completely mobile and always with you so you can do it anywhere – on the bus, train sitting in a park or on a plane.

During meditation the mind becomes settled and more orderly allowing the body and the nervous system to be in a deep restful state.

The mind travels from the grossest level of activity becoming more and more de-excited, we experience a stillness inside and yet fully awake.  As the mind comes to it’s most restful state something very interesting happens we touch pure consciousness, beyond thinking state or Being where the source of all intelligence, creativity and energy comes.

Coming out of this restful and relaxed state feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.  With everything in life the more you put in the more you get out.  It is the same experience with meditation- meditating twice per day once in the morning to start the day refreshed and ready for action and in the evening after a day of activity where we give the body time to rest and release the stress and tension accumulated over the day.

THE TRADITION

The ancient Vedic Tradition and the language "Sanskrit" originally came from India dating back over thousands of years.  It has been passed down in its purity through an unbroken line of teachers and is still taught this way by Vedic Meditation Teachers in the 21st century.

It is not a religion, there is no need to change your lifestyle, religious practices, beliefs or philosophies.

Vedic meditation practice is for ordinary people who lead busy lives.

Renowned Vedic Master and teacher Thom Knoles was given the knowledge by his teacher Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.  Thom has now passed that knowledge onto many teachers from around the world.   Thom lived here in Sydney for 30 years up till 2001 when he returned to live in the USA and has taught over 40,000 people all over the world. For over a decade Liz studied under Vedic Master Tim Brown who studied with Thom. Thom studied under Maharishi Mahesh Yogi who studied with his Master Swami Brahmananda Saraswati and so on the line of teachers is maintained and taught in its original purity today.
